DPW Offers Mini-Grants to Assist ASD Families

Money to help those not able to access existing support programs

The Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare recently announced the availability of mini-grants of up to $500 to support individuals and families of individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), according to Senator Don White (R-41).

The DPW mini-grant funding may be used for respite/child care, summer camp, recreational or community programs, conferences/workshops and safety modifications.

"The focus of this project is to reach out and serve individuals and families that are not able to access existing support systems for various reasons including eligibility, criteria, age and waiting lists," Senator White said. "These one-time grants are funding opportunities that will only be offered for a limited time. Not everyone who applies will receive funding."
