State Seeking Providers for Workforce Training

$10 Million available for projects for veterans, displaced workers, youths

Pennsylvania is now accepting applications for a $10 million grant program to support workforce training efforts for veterans, displaced workers and youths, according to Senator Don White (R-41).

Applications must be received by the state Department of Labor and Industry no later than March 19.

Successful applicants' proposals will complement the state's workforce training and economic recovery efforts, including: apprenticeship programs; on-the-job training; advanced skills training for the current workforce; basic skill training; and customized training.

Guidelines and more information about these grants are available at www.paworkforce.state.pa.us. Click "Recovery Act Workforce Information" in the left navigation area, and then click "Workforce Development Grants."
