For Immediate Release Guidelines for PA Conservation Works! Now OnlineGrant program provides access to "stimulus money" for energy projects Local governments, municipal authorities and non-profit organizations can now get information and guidelines online about the PA Conservation Works! program, according to Senator Don White (R-37). The grant program provides local governments and non-profits with access to American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds for energy projects. Guidelines for the program are available at: http://www.recovery.pa.gov/portal/server.pt/community/announcements/6016 The grant program is designed to assist local governments and non-profits with the implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects with an eye towards reducing costs, putting people to work, and making advancements in green technology. PA Conservation Works! will provide up to $250,000 for individual projects and $500,000 for joint projects designed to increase energy efficiency, reduce energy consumption and reduce energy costs by at least 25 percent. Applications are due Aug. 14 and must be submitted through the Environmental eGrants system at www.dcnr.state.pa.us. In order to apply, an organization must be designated 501(c) (3) and be registered with the Bureau of Charitable Organizations. Contact: Joe Pittman
